New Members Course
"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts," - Acts 2:42 - 46
The early church fathers said that every Christian needs 'God as their Father and the church as their mother'. They said this as they were utterly convinced that Christianity is not lived in isolation or loose association but in vital, close relationship with other Christians.
We believe that the New Testament teaches that the second a person is born again he becomes a member of the church of Jesus Christ. However, to live an effective and fruitful Christian life, we believe that every believer must join a local church.
Our New Members course will give you some of our history over the last 20 years or so and make our stand on issues such as church governance and tithing clear to you. We also outline our vision, core values and our Faith Journey, as well as giving you a chance to connect with various leaders and ministries you may be interested in serving with.
The course runs over a 2 hour period from 09h00 – 11h00 on the following Sunday mornings in 2010:
- 11 July
- 10 October
