Masiphane Projects - “Let us give to each other”
Masiphane Projects - The Masiphane Projects is a community development non-profit organization (registered as the Community Development Programme Trust, NPO 052049, PBO 930022212) initiated by His People Christian Church in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In Matthew 9:36, Jesus was moved with compassion in seeing the weary multitudes and said, “The harvest truly is plentiful but the labourers are few.” The city of Johannesburg is a plentiful harvest and God calls each of us to help in bringing a hope and a future to those most in need. Masiphane means “let us give to each other” and is the umbrella group under which the following areas of service fall: |
Each of these homes provides a home, a loving environment, and the hands of Christ to touch, nurture, and bring wholeness to body and soul. In a continent overburdened in an orphan crisis, MASIPHANE PROJECTS is part of the answer.
MASIPHANE PROJECTS also sponsors two outreaches in partnership with others: URBAN VISION to serve the homeless and SIHAMBASONKE to serve those challenged directly or in their family by the HIV-AIDS crisis.
CHILD HAVEN serves young children (ages 3 - 10) of Johannesburg’s West Rand, often from extreme poverty and families affected by the HIV/AIDS crisis, and sometimes having suffered neglect, abuse and abandonment. At CHILD HAVEN, we want children to experience the joy and security of childhood. Located in Florida

BABY HAVEN serves the abandoned and the orphaned babies of Johannesburg, most of them, the healthy children of HIV+ parents, by providing a safe place to grow and be nurtured as they await their “forever families”. Located in Northcliff / Valeriedene.
For more information or to volunteer please contact Ps. Caroline Webb at 082 324 1794.
URBAN VISION reaches out to the homeless youth living in the streets of Melville, placing some of them in accommodation and skills programs. The volunteers build relationships, mentor and teach the youth and provide food and other necessities.
For more information or to volunteer please contact Julius Bakunzi at 073 530 4026.
MALIBONGWE MOTHER & CHILD HAVEN, provides a safe haven for homeless young women and mothers with children. During their 18 month stay the women acquire life and parenting skills, engage in Bible studies, learn art & crafts, computer and job skills, and also complete/further their education. The children attend our in-house creche which is a place for the children to heal and grow. Located in Mondeor.

SIHAMBASONKE means “To Walk Together” in Zulu and endeavours to teach the community to walk with those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. We provide care to those living with this disease at the Joburg Zaziwe Care Centre. Each week a team of volunteers ministers the love and care of Jesus to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.
