The literal Women’s Ministry “events” at His People Johannesburg are
just a small part of all that the ladies of the church are involved
with.
The purpose of these women’s ministry events is to bring the ladies of our congregation together from different cultures, walks of life, ages and stages in order to celebrate and grow in their walk with God, and in order to build friendships. Our aim is to provide rich spiritual input and to practically empower and equip women to succeed and thrive in all areas of their lives. We are convinced that women have a key role to play in the Church and we are committed to raising up ladies who will lead others and minister to them effectively.

| As a church with a passion for discipleship, we are
thrilled that so many of our ladies participate in discipleship groups
and various cell groups regularly. The events we organise are
additional cherished opportunities to celebrate and gather together for
fun activities; and to receive input as a larger women’s group. These events take various shapes and forms, for example a “service split”, where the women and men are separated during a Sunday service so that they can receive specific, relevant input. Some events are focused on specific sectors of women in the congregation, for example moms, businesswomen, or singles; while other events may have an outreach or social responsibility component. Larger events like women’s camps or women’s day-long seminars are always highlights on the calendar, and are well attended by ladies from all sectors of the congregation. |
