Parktown North

The Parktown North congregation started on the Wits University Campus in 1987. From modest beginnings we have witnessed steady growth over the last two decades and HP Joburg now hosts 13 different Sunday Services across the city. The church gathered for many years in rented facilities in the Braamfontein area, but God provided us with this current, strategically placed, venue of our own in 1999.

The congregation provides a spiritual home for a broad spectrum of people varying in age, ethnicity and profession. Many of these people enjoy meaningful relationships with one another and we are committed to ensuring that this remains a distinguishing characteristic of our church. Parktown hosts a dynamic Children’s and Teen’s ministry serving both morning services.

We believe that Church should be the most Exciting, Enjoyable, Encouraging, Empowering, Experience on Earth! Our desire is to see God’s manifold wisdom, grace, glory and power manifest amongst us. In essence we are trusting for a congregation who knows how to live “ON EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN”.

We continue to see many salvations and healings in and through our Church, and are trusting for an increase in the supernatural, miraculous and expression of the gifts amongst our members, wherever they go.

Our passion is to be a people who are Real, Relational and Relevant.

Real – We talk about real issues and inspire you to meet life’s challenges head on with faith in our God and His ways.

Relational – We believe that life is meant to be shared, and is far more fruitful and fulfilling when we are enjoying supportive and meaningful friendships.

Relevant – We are convinced that our world needs to run into Christians who know the questions of the hour and who are demonstrating how to live life in partnership with the Living God.
