Soweto

The His People Soweto Congregation started in December 2005. We meet at Funda Community College aka Funda Centre, 8642 Immink Drive. Diepkloof, Soweto at 10:30am each Sunday morning for times of worship, equipping, breaking of bread, ministry of spiritual gifts and fellowship.

At the moment we are reaching out to the areas of Chiawelo and Protea South, with the message of the gospel and giving people an opportunity to be discipled. We have started a wonderful, fun-filled His Kids programme on Sunday mornings for children in the area, which is growing fast. We also have a growing campus ministry on the University of Johannesburg Soweto Campus training up young people for Godly living. We have launched the Every Nation Leadership Institute on Saturday mornings on the university campus equipping people to impact the world around them.

Our leadership team is also active in a number of social outreach programmes in the community including a sports youth development outreach to children in Protea South during the week.

In the years ahead we are trusting God to build up multiple congregations throughout Soweto, filled with overcomers who love and serve God, live in close spiritual family with one another, and impact their communities around them with justice, peace, truth and love.
