In June 2009 it will be our 2nd anniversary as His People Westrand. Our ever creative God is doing more than we could ever ask for or imagine. Our family continues to grow in both the young and old. We have seen many being added through our New Members Course and the almost monthly baby showers! God is truly multiplying us in flesh, Spirit and Faith.

We have been blessed by visits from mission teams, various community pastors and also by the Chinese Church of Johannesburg. Thank you to all the visitors from our His People congregations in and around Johannesburg. The students from our Campus Ministry at Monash University are also increasing and are becoming a permanent part of our family and Sunday services.

A big thank you for everyone’s prayers, encouragement, words of wisdom and support towards the Westrand. We would love for you to visit us for a truly cinematic experience of the goodness of God. Our Sunday services are in the Nu Metro Cinema in Clearwater Mall, 9:00am.

JOY BRINGERS Prison Ministry

Joy Bringers is a registered South African Non Profit Organisation (050-498-NPO, PBO: 030022736) that focuses on transforming the lives of prisoners, their families and the communities they live in. Our vision is to break the cycle of crime by providing a platform of leadership and networking to assist communities with the re-integration of prior offenders.

Joy Bringers is primarily committed to the Krugersdorp Correctional Facility in the West Rand, but have recently also partnered with Leeuwkop Prison (Fouways), Sun City Prison (Soweto) and Pretoria Maximum Security Prison.We believe that we cannot isolate the prison inmates from their families and have therefore expanded our vision so that we can approach the prison inmates within the context of their families, and the families within the greater context of their communities.

We are looking for partners that will join forces with the vision, mission and mandate of Joy Bringers (Abaleth’ Injabulo) to BREAK THE CYCLE OF CRIME and to restore the lives of inmates, workers and their families. We need financial partners as well as skills and volunteering partners.
